Madi

Madi Baird, turning 18 years old in 2023, has been working as a receptionist at New Tampa Karate since 2021. She is currently a Senior and an AICE student at Dr. Kiran C. Patel High School and intends to go to the University of Tampa as a business management major in the fall. 
 
Madi splits her free time between New Tampa Karate and New Tampa Dance Theatre. She has been training at New Tampa Dance Theatre in classical ballet and numerous other genres since she was three years old and is currently a company member with the Dance Theatre of Tampa. She is great at time management and hospitality. She loves to work with kids in mentoring younger dancers and our karate students. Madi is also involved in other extracurricular activities, as she is a member of the Student Government Association, and National Honors Society, and has a leadership role in the office. 
 
The dojo is a huge part of Madi’s with the close relationships she has with her co-workers and the personal connections she has with the students.

My son has been going there for 4 years. It has been a wonderful experience. Aside from learning self defense, he is also learning discipline. Sensei Eddie and his instructors do a great job.

Sensei Eddie, the owner and a teacher himself is awesomely professional and at the same time very very understanding to your child. He spreads his karate charisma into the class!!! Must say, Sensei Brett, Sensei Elijah, Sensei Leroy and Sensei Tiffany along with Mrs. Emily at the front desk are excellent to work with children.

I think the best choice for us as parents was to send our son to NTK!
